We started at 6.30am at Namutoni, lunched at Okaukuejo about 1pm and dashed back to Namutoni to meet the absolute deadline of the 5.30pm gate-closing time. We stopped at random waterholes along the way hoping to see everything - and we did! We still wonder what would have happened if we didn't make it back by 5.30 - no phones out there!
